A home within a larger volume
A compact inner volume gathers the stair and private functions. Open spaces around it connect living, working, and shared activities. Offset floor levels and openings bring daylight and garden views into the interior.

I produced the project model and renderings, then joined the Chinese design team in reviewing the detailed drawings prepared by the Japanese project team.

Living with light and views
The completed house connects its interior levels to the garden and street. Large openings frame different views, while a sheltered terrace creates an outdoor room.

The team leader developed the concept: essential private functions and circulation sit within a compact inner house. The larger volume accommodates open, connected activities. Offset floor levels create visual links between these spaces.

Models and built work
I developed the exterior and interior models to communicate the approved concept. The dining photograph records the finished room and is identified separately from my model views.

Drawing review
The Japanese team prepared the detailed drawings. I joined the Chinese design team in reviewing openings, stairs and interior details against the agreed design intent. These excerpts retain the original review annotations.
